I use both every day. I love Vonage - I love Skype. For some reason, it's this thing about just being able to pickup a damn phone and walk around the house that makes me like Vonage a bit more. Never mind the fact that they'll likely never be profitable. Walking around w/ the powerbook and an attached headset just isn't as convenient. It really isn't.

I wish Vonage would open up another tier of services for home office professionals the offered some other value added services like same number fax, answering service (virtual assistant) and other stuff like that.

Yes, the Vonage IPO is in the crapper, and I can call anyone on Skype that I choose to for free, but it doesn't get me past the little issue of convenience.

Oh, and try hooking up multiple headsets and running parallel instances of Skype on the home computer so that that wife and I can both chat at the same time.

Sorry, that sucks too. Something about the regular old cordless phone that just makes me all warm & fuzzy inside.
