How to engage visitors on your weblog?

John Cass has started a great conversation on how to further engage visitors in *conversation* once they are at your weblog. Please chime in with your thoughts on this. How are your engaging visitors at your site, if you have one?

I submit that weblogs are not much different than other websites, and standard knowledge about sites apply, but who knows...

Hi dana, I agree there is not much difference between blogs and websites in the types of promotion you can undertake. Though I do think with blogs you have more flexibility with content. On websites you are restricted a little by what you can discuss. If only by not having a section if you start an entirely new category of information.
