Google Launches Blog Search; There's room to improve
Google has finally launched it's official blog search engine. http://www.google.com/blogsearch Of course it's in Beta. Isn't everything in Beta over there?
I did some searching this morning and found a few of my favorite Movable Type blogs that would normallly turn up in Technorati to be absent from the Google results. According to Google, this will be remedied soon.
If your blog publishes a site feed in any format and automatically pings an updating service (such as Weblogs.com), we should be able to find and list it. Also, we will soon be providing a form that you can use to manually add your blog to our index, in case we haven't picked it up automatically. Stay tuned for more information on this.
