Google Inc. released a free tool today that lets people simultaneously search the Web and their personal computers for information, a move analysts described as a potential blow to rivals Microsoft Corp. and Yahoo Inc. in the race to woo searchers and dominate the hottest area of online advertising. Update!: This thing rocks. There's nothing it can't find, and it uses many of Google's standard query operators.

Not as good as Blinkx. Of course blinkx has been out a while longer but as Om Malik said today in his review:'Blinkx is a Mercedes compared to Google which is like a yugo'My feelings exactly.
