Corporate issued laptops

Ari goes a bit nuts on everything he hates about his corporate stinkpad. Funny, I have all the same bitches. I'll spare the virtual ink and just point you to him.

Wait, I do have something to say. Know this: As a general rule, there is an inverse relationship between corporate IT dept. productivity and yours, as it relates to your corporate computing resources, and they will almost always decide in their favor.

My experience with Corporate IT is they are sometimes like a nuclear powerplant that takes more power to run that it produces!

I brought home my 10lb blackberry this weekend .. did you!!

Nice...10lb BlackBerry. I've never heard it called that, but that's funny! Good stuff man.

That comment reminds me of a comment from the movie Snatch about the rather heavy gun that Tommy purchases, which becomes knows as "the 10lb piece of shit"

Worked at a company for three weeks that denied me admin rights to my desktop. Quit when I was told "We do that for your own good".

Simple solution to his browsing problems - download Firefox into My Documents (not c:/Programs/). Yes it will run there, even if it gives you an initial error. No popups, automatic Google toolbar. So 2005.

And don't slag Notepad. It's the best way to strip out annoying Word auto formatting when copy/pasting from another document or text source.
