They currently have offices located in seven different states. Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
Reporting Relationship: Regional Vice President
Basic Function: The BDM drives and manages the sales process from prospecting through on-going account management leveraging existing clients and networking contacts to identify new business opportunities, increase market awareness and build new business. The sales process is consultative.
The end result of the BDM efforts will be measured by revenue achievement against pre-established quotas. The BDM will interface with an Engagement management team and management to provide information regarding client requirements and review progress.
Specific Responsibilities: The BDM responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and clients each week through cold calling, networking and referrals.
- Introduce additional client resources to relationship where appropriate.
- Develop and implement strategies which result in relationship development and in the long run revenue.
- Meet assigned activity and revenue targets on a monthly basis.
- Work with Practice Managers to define scope and objectives of engagements.
- Work with team (senior management, consultants and Practice Managers) to deliver optimal solution to client.
- Conduct periodic status meetings.
Educational Requirements: BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related degree
Candidate Profile/Professional Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years direct sales experience in the IT consulting industry
- Demonstrated success in strategic and consultative solution selling.
- Technology services industry sales a requirement.
- Proven history of achieving annual sales revenue of 2.5 million or higher.
- Ability to develop trusting relationships with clients/prospects in order to understand top business issues and help develop client solutions.
- Experience calling on Fortune 1000 companies or large mid-market companies at the Director level or above.
- Experience in selling IT project services.
- Highly intelligent, intuitive, tenacious, able to deal effectively with ambiguity.
- Strong understanding of technology terminology and concepts.
- Exceptional ability to develop relationships throughout complex organizations.
- Self-starter; high energy level and driven to excel.
- Ability to open doors and maintain relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
